I also have another RDP machine for travel, a MeLe Quieter3 newly released model. I doubt any emulated machine could match the performance.

Autodesk Inventor runs just fine on it, even with a huge assembly like the Autodesk Jet Engine sample model. It’s on my gigabit home network so RDP performance is snappy enough. I think I paid around $350’ish for the SER4, which has Ryzen 7 4700U, 16gb RAM, 512gb SSD and room for another 2.5” drive. Just downloaded Jump Desktop and will be playing with it soon. (i have way more resources than I'll need over here, m1max 14", 4tb ssd, 64gb ram, 10core cpu)

But I'll admit I'm probably not pressed for resources like other people are on their hardware, and I still think native windows arm on m-chips would be fantastic for those who can't afford to fork up half their cpu cores and half their memory and a whole bunch of ssd space like I can. I almost prefer this then being able to natively boot Windows ARM because I can have macos and windows going at the same time and I just swipe over to my windows workspace. It's been working damn near flawlessly for me so far. I do data engineering, so sometimes I'm doing some administrative stuff in sql server management studio, powerbi'ing, ssrs reporting, blah blah. I wish they would too, but I've been win 11'ing in parallels for a year now and my windows instance is always running on a separate workspace, it's been instrumental in serving as a windows development environment for some of the windows-only tasks I get faced with at work. That's not to say it isn't possible though, i think if Microsoft prioritized this they have plenty of resources and talent to get it done. It wouldn't surprise me if an enterprise team would be scratching their head at what they're accomplishing.
