Due to certification issues with Android TV, you’ll need to download the Nebula Manager app to find a specific, compatible version of the Netflix app. The one exception, and it’s an important one, is Netflix. Simply connect your Google credentials to the projector, and within a few minutes of turning on the projector for the first time, you’ll be able to steam from all the top services, be that films and movies from Amazon Prime or taking advantage of the built-in speakers with Spotify. As well as the aforementioned physical ports, you’ve got Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built in – that last key to support the all-important Android TV interface.Īndroid TV means there is an abundance of streaming apps available straight from the projector, without the need to even connect any streaming sticks, Blu-ray players, consoles or other devices. It’s hard to fault the Anker Nebula Cosmos Max 4K when it comes to connectivity. There’s also a dedicated button for triggering the Android TV voice control helper, Google Assistant. Directional keys, volume controls and a power button are correct and present, but not a couple of handy projector-specific controls, including lamp brightness and auto-focus buttons.
I tend to be picky about sound but this unit has such good sound that it can be used without an external sound system if you want which makes it perfect for using outdoors.Finally, there’s a thin, functional remote. I am very impressed by the built in speakers. The image is sharp and colorful but that’s to be expected.

I watch movies by plugging my macbook into it via an HDMI cable and it automatically started mirroring my screen, I didn’t have to download any drivers or change any settings. The remote is easy to pair and use but there is also an app you can use instead. There are USB and HDMI inputs in the back of the unit or you can connect wirelessly via bluetooth or wifi. The picture is sharp and the projector is easy to connect to a variety of different types of media.
It even has a handle on the top to carry it. The size and configuration of the projector itself makes it ultra portable. They make it easy to use this projector pretty much anywhere with hardly any effort. The auto-focus and auto-keystone correction are downright brilliant. It couldn’t be easier to set up, its basically foolproof. This is the first projector I’ve ever used that truly impressed me. I have tried a lot of projectors and they’ve always been a bit disappointing and a pain in the bum to set up. Little downside is that the first time set up takes bit long time as I went through some upgrades and settings, but after all that everything is just so convenient, the keystone correction is a killer! I don’t need to adjust anything when I move around. Lastly, the handle on top is very convenient for moving around at home! When I use it at rooftop, all I need extra is a powerhouse and I can see the jealous look from my neighbors when they saw I have a rooftop cinema at home! I’m a picky person for speaker but this one is good enough for me, definitely better than the XGIMI projector I tried before. And the build in sound is really beyond my expectation for a projector.

Firstly, the image quality is great! Even though it’s 1080p version, i don’t see much difference from my TV but with a huge size screen. I have tried this new toy for several times, both at my living room and rooftop, it really lives up to my expectation. After comparing the specs of XGIMI and Epson and asking some friends, I got this Cosmos Laser as laser sounds cool and my friend said the speaker of his Cosmos Max is really good.
